October 2017 : The Book titled “The Lady Divine : A Pictorial
and Didactical Biography of Her Humbleness Nisha Jeewachh
Trivedi” was dedicated today to the World Citizenry in general
and to the 1.1 billion girls of the world on the auspicious
occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child.
Issuing a joint press statement, the authors of
the book Dr. Sonu Trivedi and Dr. Tanuja Trivedi said that this
book will go a long way in strengthening the cause of the
movement for saving the girl child as envisaged and announced by
the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi.
They further observed that the International Day
of the Girl Child came at turbulent times, with the world facing
the rising challenges of forced displacement, climate change and
violent extremism.
They felt that these problems may be caused by
armed conflict or natural disasters, humanitarian crises,
however they further explained that these problems always hurt
women and girls the most - they account for more than 75 percent
of the refugees and displaced persons at risk from war, famine,
persecution and natural disasters. They are also vulnerable to
sexual abuse and exploitation, during conflicts and in refugee
camps.
They appreciated the theme of 2017 International
Day of the Girl Child -- "EMPOWER girls: emergency response and
resilience planning".
They also opined that the world’s 1.1 billion
girls are a source of power, energy as well as creativity.
